Summer is Coming to an End

The last couple of weeks of summer have been spent working on our pop up camper and surf fishing off the beach with one of our Jeeps. 

Here’s an early morning shot. 

We love the beach this early. We’re usually the only ones around as far as the eye can see. 

The boys had some luck fishing. They caught a few skate, baby sharks, spot, speckled trout and whiting. While the boys are fishing I love to take pictures to remember the day.  We don’t have a lot of days left like this with our son who starts his senior year of high school on Monday.

The pop up camper also got a much needed deep cleaning recently. As with most things, I searched YouTube videos to see what others have used to clean mildew from the fabric & vinyl walls pop up campers are known for. I came across this gentleman’s post. He used a product called Starbrite Mildew Stain Remover and it was amazing. Here are some before and after pictures. After removing all the interior mildew from the walls and ceiling we cleaned the outside as well. Once all the mildew was removed, I gave the rest of the camper interior a thorough wipe down with Simple Green. The camper looks (and smells) amazing! We’re busy now outfitting it with new bedding and supplies. I’m working on organizing all the storage compartments.
